Pay attention

When I woke up this morning, I saw the date on my calendar and I had to check it twice because I could not believe it was true.

Where did all those days go? How come we are so advanced into the year? Time flies and when we try to look back to see where did time go, we realise that we have completely lost track of it.

I cannot believe that ten years ago my life was completely different, my mentality was different and even my life style was different.

Many of my friends and people I worked with, are no longer among us.  When I began making a list of all the people who had left, I am amazed of how long the list has become. Where have all they gone?

Even my tastes and hobbies are no longer the same. I still enjoy many old things but my interests and activities have changed so much. Some of them in a radical way.

Yes, I am getting old but I do not feel old yet. Maybe time has passed so fast I didn´t have time to realise it.

But the more I analyse it, the more I realise that I missed out a whole decade of my life without being aware of it.

One day you wake up and your life is completely different and good friends and circumstances are gone for ever.

I am sure we all have in our mind, fond memories of good old times that we suddenly remember and make us feel nostalgic.

No matter how hard some periods are, there will always be moments, details, people, and so on, that will fill our hearts with a warm feeling in the future.

So, take a good look around now because this moment will be a memory too, it will fly away and you will wish you could re-live this time once more. Some of the people who are by your side now, will be gone, some places and situations will change and nothing will be the same again.

You have been given this opportunity, this time-space-coordinate to live, experience and enjoy. Retrain your mind to be aware of the moment. Turn your autopilot off for a while, and pay attention to all the wonderful things that are happening to you right now. Do not allow the apparent bad and ugly things in life to keep you from living this moment that belongs to you by Divine Right.

You will miss this moment in the future, the memory will not be as clear as you will wish, but now is the moment you must pay attention to and enjoy.

The only reality is here and now. Enjoy it before this instant is just one more fading memory.

Detach!

We are hearing very often about detachment lately. Detachment to material things, to places, to people etc.

For most people, it is easier to detach themselves from individuals, food or places than to be the “victim” of the detachment.

You can train your mind to separate from a place, from a certain food or habit.  A little more difficult for many is to “avoid” toxic people who are not helping us with our growth process.

Especially when the other people feel you are avoiding them for the wrong reasons. They might think that you are getting too “picky” or that you are being too selfish or that you simply do not care anymore for them.

But please do not fall into that game this time. Continue reading

Attention

We have talked about the importance of giving our attention to the positive things in our life. The consequences of paying much attention to the bad events in the world around us, and our responsibility as co-creators of this reality.

But remember that attention must be accompanied by intention as well; otherwise it will lack a very important ingredient.  Both elements will give power to our thoughts and desires.

Intention will give a defined purpose to our visualisations and will accelerate the results.

That charged attention will inject power to whatever is directed to, and remember that as soon as you direct that attention to a different subject that energy is shifted to the new target and disappears from the former. So try not to shift to a negative thought in order to maintain the same frequency and even increase its power. Continue reading

The external

We constantly talk about our old negative ideas, beliefs and hidden concepts in our mind that keep us sunk in our depression and lack of success.

But we cannot forget that we are inhabitants of a physical universe and that there are external factors as well.

Yes, we create our reality with our feelings and thoughts. Yes, we are responsible for the things that we create and attract to our personal reality and yes, there are other people in this local reality creating and attracting their own things as well, so we are not alone and yes, we are attracting and creating those external factors as well.

Let´s imagine you are an enthusiast of motorcycles. Then you get one or more motorcycles and then attract other people who are passionate about them as well.  Then your “inner circle” could be formed by people who share your hobbies and passions. Continue reading

Happy

I was feeling happy that morning.  I was actually enjoying that feeling of “Nothing is wrong in the world” when suddenly the left hemisphere of my brain began asking the right hemisphere what was he so happy about?

Maybe this unusual state of happiness was too suspicious for that side of the brain that is always analysing and questioning everything all the time.

So, of course he managed to find more than one “reason” to stop that “excess of happiness” and dedicate time to processing more “useful” and worrisome information.

So my mind began making a list of all those things in my past that were unfinished, unclear and unfair to my eyes so I could go back to the regular uneasiness pattern, more natural and popular these days in this world. Continue reading

Are you collapsing?

Sometimes we feel things in our emotional bag are getting too heavy to carry around and then our inner strength fails and we end up falling down to the ground.

Besides the pain and numbness this fall causes in our heart, we finally decide to get up again, but sometimes even when we are back in our feet once more we feel our soul is shattered and we cannot put our pieces back together.

Being in this zone is something we all as humans have to experience many times in our life in order to learn and master our journey.  Yes, we all have been there and we will come back many times. What changes and shows your mastery is how long do you spend in that state. Continue reading

Doors

I am not a very social person. It is not that I do not love to meet new people, on the contrary, I love to meet new people but what I do not like is big crowds.

I like to focus on a small group of people so we can get to know each other well and I can give these new friends proper attention.  But when you have to meet many people at the same time is when I usually exit the stage left.

Do not get me wrong, I am not really antisocial, (well, not very much.) But I believe every person I meet is like a new window that allows you to see new scenery, new thoughts, new experiences and so on. Continue reading

Bad

We always complain about the bad things that happen to us in our everyday life.

Sometimes we feel the worst things take place at the worst moment so our mind begins to orbit around our problems, leaving the rest of our life out of perspective. Then the rest of the world disappears and our attention is focused on those “terrible situations”.

We all have been there and when we finally take a look around us, we finally see there are much bigger problems in the life of others that the ones we are considering as our doom. Continue reading

You´ll be missing this.

When I was a little child I dreamt with being a grown up and doing whatever I wanted without having to ask permission or receiving help from anyone. Being a grown up should be something marvellous!

I remember those times now and wish I could go back to being spoiled and ignoring many things that happen every day around me.

Years later while I was waiting for my daughter to stop crying and allow us to go back to sleep, while swinging her cradle, I remember wishing she could grow up fast and see her as a beautiful girl who would go to sleep quietly and fast! Continue reading
