We usually receive gifts on Christmas, our birthday, and some other special occasions.
Some of us are used to wake up in the morning under a roof, with nice blankets and most times a good breakfast waiting for us on the table. We see it so natural, that we forget to be grateful for all those blessings we receive every day.
There are some people who are open and willing to receive, but there are others who feel they do not deserve it.
In some cases, not being “open to receive” is as bad as not being willing to share your good with others. Continue reading →
They were four huge men used to deal with difficult people who usually received them violently, but after all, that was their job, they deliver legal notifications and as they usually were bearers of bad news, people always treat them bad.
They were apparently habituated to this and their attitude was very aggressive. I saw the scene from a distance and, knowing how they behave sometimes, I was getting ready to go and be ready to protect that old lady from any hostility.
They knocked at her door as if they were trying to smash it to pieces. The old lady opened the door and look at them with a smile, the expression of those four man was hard and cold, they were doing their job, so they didn’t need to be polite. Continue reading →
I have tried to sleep more hours to see if my weariness would fade away. But I kept feeling tired, with no energy whatsoever. When your inner self is tired, all the physical rest and sleeping will not make a difference.
There are days when you wake up and life hurts, therefore you resent it and will reflect it in your physical body. And of course it will take you longer to stand on your feet, but any way you have to do it.
You see, it is easier for our brain to recall bad memories. We usually remember more the bad events than the good ones, so we keep them in the first row of our conscious mind and that could be one of the main reasons why we keep repeating our mistakes and manifesting our worst fears faster. When I have these dialogues with my inner self, I tend to “justify” many of the mistakes my subconscious mind points out to me. But as I cannot fool myself so easily, very often I end up “burnt and crashed” but a little bit wiser and stronger.
Sometimes I kept dreaming on things that seemed so “impossible” or too “far away” from me to reach them but that “impossibility” or “distance” made my mind doubt I could ever reach them. I am sure you have been there as well. We all have.
So when I begin to feel that way now what I usually do is rewind my memory tape and push play again so I can see how things “seemed” in the past and how now I am enjoying what in those times looked so far away from my reach and/or impossible to obtain at that time.
There is nothing more frustrating than entertaining the feeling of impossibility to reach a dream. Continue reading →
That street looked not as wide as usual, not as long as the picture in my mind. I grew up in that street but now it looked smaller somehow. Did the houses in that street shrink maybe under the pressure of time and space?
I haven´t been there maybe in 30 years or so. The trees were of course taller than when I lived there but some way they didn’t look that taller than in my memories.
But the houses were now shorter, the whole street not as wide and the people were all different. Continue reading →
I thought that living in this “reality” was simple and easy to do, but the more I talk to other people the more I realise that it is one of the most difficult things to do nowadays.
When I was a child and I was able to play without the help of any electronic device, I was more in “touch” with my reality since I used what I had in hand to build my toys. A piece of wood could be a ship, a bus, a bed, a seat or anything my mind could imagine. Same for an old box, a blanket, etc.
I used any object in my physical world to “create” a wonderful world in my mind. My mind was creating a world of fantasy for me to live in, but at the same time I was more in “touch” with the reality around me. The moment my mother called me to dinner, I was immediately “present” in my local reality. Continue reading →
It is so easy to enjoy our own success, obviously it feels great and it is part of our life. When we achieve something we feel great and that feeling helps us to set even higher goals. It fills us with enthusiasm and self-confidence and those are great fuels.
It is easy to feel inspired and motivated with the success of our close family and even friends. When we see a close one who has been struggling and probably we have witnessed this effort from a close range, we can feel this success as our own. That will motivate us and help us to try to achieve more ourselves. Continue reading →
