Because of you…

 

She was a very strong and courageous woman.

She had a very difficult life and she had to learn to be tough in order to survive in a world made by men. In the world outside, she had to keep a rough and strong image.

Despite all the harsh situations she had to face, her loving and kind nature was kept very deep into her soul.

She had a big heart and her compassion was evident when she helped other people in need, whether they were a friend or a perfect stranger, to her they all deserved compassion. Continue reading

The cause

I was talking to a friend about all those bizarre “negative” things and events in our lives.

According to him, his life had always been very harsh and difficult. Many times he had complained about all the things he had to go through to survive, while most of his friends and family had a more relaxed and comfortable life, (at least from his perspective).

He had to overcome several obstacles in his past, in order to reach some things that other people simply obtained or achieved in a very “relaxed” manner, according to his analysis.

He was about to go once more, through the list of difficulties he had to face in his life until this morning, when I was forced to interrupt his litany in order to avoid 45 more minutes of the same old, same old. Continue reading

Compassion

Usually when we talk about how compassionate we are, we refer to our acts towards other people. How we helped a homeless person or how we made donations to some charity to help prevent starvation in Africa or how we donate some books for some elderly homes.

But, what about the rest of our cohabitants in this planet?

We rarely see the animals, spiders, insects and plants as sentient beings.

I am happy to see that the new generations come with a different programming.  Most young people are not interested in hunting for example. Continue reading
