Nowadays, empty words are such a trend. Everybody has to say something all the time.
Even when they do not know what to say or they have no idea of what they are talking about.
If someone else is talking about something that happened to them the day before, people usually have an anecdote “more interesting”, “more frightening”, “more fabulous” to add.
If someone has some kind of illness or is going through a difficult time, there will always be that person who is going through something much more terrible than the others. As if demeaning other´s people problems and dilemmas was some kind of contest. Continue reading →
People are nowadays living as fast as they can. It seems like a speed contest to see who the first to reach the highest level of stress is, in the shortest time possible.
They tell us to be passionate about our work, our activities and relationships, passionate about living our life to the fullest. That is brilliant, but I am seeing people who in order to feel they are passionate about their lives are entering a self-centred world of their own.
We do not need to be so radical about our actions. We can be passionate and at the same time share that passion with others. Continue reading →
My aunt used to wait for my mother to come back from work sitting by the window and always in a big stress.
Instead of visualising her surrounded by a protective light, or arriving home happy and unharmed, my aunt used to imagine the worst accidents and incidents you could imagine.
Every ambulance she heard passing in the street, she imagined that my mother was in there, she spent every evening with anguish and of course she was constantly with liver problems due to such much stress. Continue reading →
