Labels (More notes to self)

Have you ever asked yourself why things are “showing up” in your life the way they are right now?

We are used to “attach labels” to everything around us, people, circumstances and all kind of events.

We like to use “positive” or “negative”, “good” or “bad” and so on and so forth.

But looking backwards, how many times have you see a “bad” event turn out to be wonderful in the end? How many times have you seen apparently “good” events turn your life into a living “hell”?

What about that “decent” and “wonderful” person who caused you more sorrow and pain than those you considered your worst enemies?

You see? Let’s accept once and for all, that we never see the whole scene, and that make us misplace our labels most times.

So, it could be a god option to stop that “labelling business” for a while and begin anticipating more miracles and be ready to be surprised. Continue reading

The good in the bad

A child was walking right in front of me with his mother by the hand. He was curious why, if God was a good “person” he had created awful creatures like spiders and sharks, if they were mean and harmed people.   Fortunately for this child, his mother was an intelligent and understanding woman and she answered that every living being in this planet has its own purpose.  They are here for some reason.  If we didn’t have sharks and spiders and other awful animals and insects, we wouldn’t have a balance in the ecosystems, they are predators and help to control the population of other damaging populations in their ecosystems. My monster is always uglier

My aunt used to wait for my mother to come back from work sitting by the window and always in a big stress.

Instead of visualising her surrounded by a protective light, or arriving home happy and unharmed, my aunt used to imagine the worst accidents and incidents you could imagine.

Every ambulance she heard passing in the street, she imagined that my mother was in there, she spent every evening with anguish and of course she was constantly with liver problems due to such much stress. Continue reading
