I remember a friend of mine who suffered a congenital illness and his body presented some deformities that made him feel bad. Especially during his school years for his classmates were very mean to him. He suffered a lot for that and he decided he would begin a quest to find perfection.
If he had not a perfect body, he would find perfection in other areas of his being. So, he decided to practice several sports so he could get a better physique, and he became a good boxer with great muscles. He even represented his country in the Olympic Games.
But he did not feel that his quest was complete. Having a strong body and Olympic medals was not enough and he told me he did not feel even close to perfection. Continue reading →
Wait! You have been through too many things in your life and you might not be perfect, but you are a gem who took a long time and effort to be who you are now.
You have reached this far and it would be a shame if you’d stopped right now and decide to finish your journey just a few inches from your goal.
I know your trip have been difficult, you have survived and you are a living example for all of us who are watching you, even if you haven’t noticed us.
Please, don’t let those apparent obstacles to convince you of their “reality”. Do not stop now or you will never know what you are capable of and instead, you will spend the rest of your life wondering if you would have made it to the end.
I don’t have the power to motivate you, I don’t have the stature to stand in front of you to tell you what to do with your life, but I´ll be at your side to remind you that you are a unique being of Light who is here to be the best, to be happy because you deserve it (otherwise you wouldn´t be here now) and it is your right and duty to grow, expand and enjoy the ride. You wake up feeling wonderful, you had a good night and you feel happy and expectant about your day.
You are not feeling tired like other days and you know deep inside of you that this could be a wonderful day.
You wear your best coat and leave your home to conquer the world, you even see your street and the people walking around you under a different light. You are even smiling, but suddenly, a bus passing right in front of you splashes the water of a dirty puddle all over you, now your precious coat looks like rubbish and you just want to vanish into the centre of the earth.
You go back to your home and quickly fetch the fist garments you find in your closet. Obviously, you get to your job late and, a furious boss asks you to present him the reports he has been asking you for since last week, just to find a ton of mistakes in them, so you are obliged to do them again. In the past few weeks I have seen people who began with enthusiasm and lots of energy some endeavour, some project, or some dream they had for a long time and finally decided on taking the first steps.
And in the same way we drop our new year´s resolutions after facing some obstacles, they decided to abandon theirs too.
Some years ago, a friend of mine who was a fiction writer, after writing 5 books with not many sells to show in his pocket, he decided to quit. He told me then that nobody was buying his books and he felt he was wasting his time by writing with no apparent results. Continue reading →
When I have these dialogues with my inner self, I tend to “justify” many of the mistakes my subconscious mind points out to me. But as I cannot fool myself so easily, very often I end up “burnt and crashed” but a little bit wiser and stronger.
Sometimes I kept dreaming on things that seemed so “impossible” or too “far away” from me to reach them but that “impossibility” or “distance” made my mind doubt I could ever reach them. I am sure you have been there as well. We all have.
So when I begin to feel that way now what I usually do is rewind my memory tape and push play again so I can see how things “seemed” in the past and how now I am enjoying what in those times looked so far away from my reach and/or impossible to obtain at that time.
There is nothing more frustrating than entertaining the feeling of impossibility to reach a dream. Continue reading →
Most people of a certain age I know like to see their life backwards. That is, they like to see all the things they have accomplished during their lives. How things were tough once and they were able to overcome the obstacles and fight to get what they wanted. But 95% of them when I ask them if they would go through all of that from square one, they answer: NO!
So most of them have lived a life full of difficulties and have learnt to overcome them and they are now in a privileged place because they passed their tests. Nevertheless they don’t like the idea of starting all over again.
They feel they have reached the goal and now they can just rest and live looking at the past for the rest of their lives. Continue reading →
An urgent message might come in different shapes and forms. Probably sometimes they need to arrive under the disguise of a “strong” emotion in order to force us to give it the required attention and response.
So we can call that a “good fear”. Not because I am saying that fear is good. It is like Karma, it isn’t good or bad, it just is.
But as I have mentioned before, fear has its purpose and reason to exist. So although we are in a quest to “vanish” fear in our modern society. We need to change our goal here. We CANNOT vanish fear from our hearts, it comes with our inner programming and it helps us to keep us safe from danger. Continue reading →
They say “Everything has a solution but death” and often they reply: “And many times death is the solution”.
I know there are extreme cases like certain illnesses when much suffering is involved, and we cannot see other way out but death itself, when medicine in general cannot offer help any more. Continue reading →
This man was almost 2 metres height, strongly built and with a blunt face. He was drinking with some friends in a restaurant and it was evident he didn’t want to be disturbed from his social gathering with his drinking buddies.
Suddenly this little girl around 6 or 7 years old entered the place and stood right in front of this man and said: “Uncle, my mum needs some money to buy food.” Continue reading →
