Unanswered petitions

Many times I have question myself, the Universe, God, etc., why some of my petitions, prayers, dreams never came true.  I even have felt hurt and ignored because of this.

I know we all have gone through an experience like this but, sometimes we forget it and, despite seeing later that the results we would have received were totally different to what we expected in the first place, we allow that feeling of rejection, frustration, etc., to abide in our hearts once more.

I remember a long time ago, a friend wanted so bad to travel to a big city with his friends. His parents oppose to that trip and he got very frustrated and mad at them.

He had been planning that trip for months but in the end, his grades at school had been much lower than expected and his parents decided he had not “earned” that trip. Continue reading

Bizarre

Have you notice how we tend to worry like crazy, have the blackest thoughts, imagine the worst scenarios, overstress our body and lose sleep and hunger like crazy?

And after all that, things work out in bizarre ways in the end.

We feel so relieved after the things were not as bad as we imagined that we forget to look back and see all those nasty details that robbed us from our health and peace of mind.

So when next test arrives, will you once again go through the same process of worrying, losing sleep and appetite and damage our body as much as we can.

When are you going to learn that life has uncommon ways to fix things? When are you going to learn that you are more than capable to handle the things that are in front of you right now? Otherwise, they wouldn’t be there. Continue reading

What they say

He was in shock! He couldn´t believe his ears. This old and well-dressed woman had just used the worst vocabulary he had heard in years. Even an old truck driver would feel ashamed with the words this woman had uttered against him and (I am not implying that all truck drivers have a bad vocabulary, I know some who read a lot and are well educated). But my friend was furious.

A little experience…

He was screaming and throwing things around him in the middle for the pavement. People avoid the site where he was standing and preferred to cross the street so they hadn´t to pass near him.

I saw him from a distance, I could see he was very angry and he was yelling things I couldn’t understand.  As I approached the place he was standing at, a lady was running away from him while he shouted: “I don´t know why I am doing this to myself, if I know I am hurting myself” and then kicked a plastic bucket near him.

Instead of crossing the street to the other side in order to avoid this man, I kept walking normally. I have no idea why, since he was very aggressive and throwing everything he could find. Continue reading

Wherever you are

If you look around you right now, what do you see? Or better said, do you like what you see? Are you in the place where you wanted to be a year ago? Are the circumstances as you wished them to be back then?

If you answered yes to all those questions, congratulations, you have reached the goal. But if you answered no to any or all of them, then do not worry. You are a winner anyway because, believe it or not, you are where you are meant to be right now.

Probably your goals and dreams were different and you think you are not supposed to be where you are today. But that is not so. Continue reading

Don’t argue

When things are going exactly in the way we don’t want them to go we usually get angry and start arguing with ourselves, with God, with our friends or family or just with all the above.

One thing we should keep in mind before wasting our energy complaining to everybody is that when we do that, we are actually reaffirming that situation and therefore we are creating more of the same.

Arguing with your current situation won’t help you in any way. It will create more tension in your soul and it will harm you in more ways than you can imagine. Continue reading
