Everybody is telling you that you need to control what you think because it is what you attract. That brings upon us a big burden since we stress ourselves by making a big effort to avoid bad thoughts and feelings.
As human beings, we can experience all kinds of feelings, thoughts, and emotions.
We cannot limit our mind and soul to filter all the time our bad thoughts and feelings. That would not be beneficial, and in the end, it would bring us major health problems.
We do not need to completely avoid newspapers, TV news and the general gossiping around us.
The big difference comes when we do not allow those events to change our self-confidence. Continue reading →
I do not need to remind you of all the bad things happening every day in our planet. It is actually very difficult to turn your head to the other side to avoid the news.
There is a tendency in the media nowadays to highlight the bad news since they know that is what really sells. When they publish good news, people do not react the same way and they lose their profit.
The real problem is, that we accept that game, and get too inundated with those notes, and besides our personal everyday problems, we get even more stress with the tragedies in the world.
I know it is important to be informed of what is happening in the international and local arena. But in the process of finding a subject for the lunch time chat, we keep forgetting that we will have our part on this global stress wave. Continue reading →
Looking through old papers I found old notes I used to receive from a friend who worked at NASA and who due to his high position there, he was able to give me the latest news for me to broadcast in my radio program every day.
He had me in a special email group where I received inner memos and info that were not ready many times for news release. So more than once I had to take back and apologise on the air, for some news that were proved wrong or changed afterwards.
Despite the fact that my friend does not work there any more I will not mention his name here, besides that is irrelevant because what I would like to share with you today is that one of the news I found among my program notes was the memo warning about a huge asteroid approaching our planet with a high percentage of possibilities of collision. I was going through some old souvenirs of my trip to your country a few years ago. I found your business card and I remembered how glad I was you gave me a hand that time to contact important people and to get around your city.

“There is no image, I tune channel 3 and still no image!” she replied annoyed.
“Mmmh mum, this new set no longer needs to work on channel 3, now they have a special mode for different inputs”, I said with a calmed voice.
“Why do they have to do everything so complicated? So now what am I supposed to do to watch TV?” Her voice was getting louder…. So I proceeded with caution. This was dangerous territory. Continue reading →
One of the most common questions I hear all the time and, actually have asked myself many times as well is: When do changes begin to appear?
You listen constantly that you need to control your thoughts in order to change the way you look at things, to stop listening and reading tragic news (that is: everything you see on news channels and newspapers), and to avoid negative people and conversations, to keep your faith alive and keeping your mind positive.
Most of us try to be polite with others, we are careful not to offend and disrespect the integrity of our fellow-men, we even sometimes do extraordinary things to help and protect other people and animals in need.
All that is wonderful and praiseworthy I am all for it! There is nothing better than helping others and do our best for the planet and all her inhabitants. Continue reading →
Taking a walk in a park where my mother used to take me as a child, I was trying to see what had changed since, but my brain couldn’t do the right neuronal connections and the images were a little blurry. Well of course, that was a long time ago.
While I was trying to recall those times, suddenly I saw a little blond boy in a green tricycle who stopped about 10 yards from me. He looked almost as surprised to see me as I to see him. He looked exactly as a photograph of me when I was his age. I have seen that photograph many times in my mother’s album. Continue reading →
When things begin to go bad like in a “chain of bad luck” we tend to focus all our attention on the bad thing that happened to us first, that will cause our mind to tune into that frequency and keep attracting more bad things into our life. Then we call that a “losing streak” and begin to complain about our bad luck.
Watching or reading the news lately has become a difficult task for the content is worst every time. I was asking some friends who work in big news agencies if the world is getting more aggressive or the news are focusing more on the bad notes and I was not very surprised to know that the answer is the second option.
“The world has always had bad news, tragedies, wars, accidents and so on. But nowadays the new technologies and social networks are helping to carry the news faster around the planet and they have even forced the media to focus their attention into the most sensationalist notes. Red note is what sells the most. Continue reading →
