Tolerate

The other day while taking a long walk in the park, I was pondering about why sometimes we feel uncomfortable with the way our life is going.

I remember thinking that as long as I was feeling fine, my life and everything around me were supposed to be alright and I should not move anything whatsoever to change it.

I am not saying, that you should feel uneasy with your life all the time, that is not the real reason to be here.  But once you notice that “nothing changes” that things are just the same, as usual, and you begin to feel that you are not “advancing” in your life path, then it is time to listen to that little voice in your head that is trying to tell you something very important.

Something that perhaps you are pretending to ignore. Continue reading

To carry the weight of our own mistakes can be very difficult sometimes.

Too many things depending on us and, too many shared responsibilities adding weight to the load on our shoulders.

So when the load is unbearable and someone else criticise our behaviour or questions our methods, we tend to look for an external factor where we can  place the blame, “The real cause of the problem”.

So finding an external factor to justify our mistakes, behaviours, reactions, etc., is the easiest and painless solution and actually, we are pretty good at it.

It’s a universal activity, that we all, one way or the other, end up using to our advantage. But does that solve anything?

Do you know what will happen the day you decide to look inside of your being for the cause of everything, good or bad? Continue reading

Drama

They say we learnt to draw attention to ourselves when we were babies by crying, the louder we cried, the faster we received the attention.

This behaviour continues until our adulthood and as it still works for us sometimes, so we tend to sharpen our skills and become drama masters very soon.

Some people master the art of causing pity to others so they can get what they want.  Some learn how to blame others so they can be seen as victims of external factors/people and, I must admit some of them are real good at it. Continue reading

Your cover

They say you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, nevertheless many authors (published or indie) struggle to design the best cover for their books. They know a cover will attract customers and “encourage” them to buy their books.

We do the same with humans. We know we shouldn’t judge them by their physical appearance yet, hard habits die hard and we still judge people by their “cover”.

A few days ago I cut my chin while shaving. The cut left an ugly scar that was easily seen by a distance. Of course that made me very self-conscious of my appearance and I think everybody notice my insecurity, despite my efforts to look confident.  I don’t know maybe it was just my appreciation. My Image

I was listening in silence as she was speaking about herself.

She was saying how wonderful she was, how patient, good friend, understanding and helpful she was to everybody. How people love her and they all like her so much. Don´t get me wrong, she is a good person but for some reason she has a different concept of what others think about her. Continue reading

When was the last time you fell the wonderful feeling of being surprised?

Actually even the latest advancements in technology are received with certain indifference.  As if we expected the innovations all the time.

The new generations are losing that privilege.

We are not teaching them to stay in awe while watching a sunset or the stars at night.  We are living too fast and those things are losing its importance.

The other day security personal arrived into a park I go very often to write and study, saying they had received an email from someone reporting a strange mount on the floor of the garden and that they suspected that might be a body hidden there. Continue reading
