The thin line (Rambling)

One of the hardest things for me is trying to identify the difference between a “forced” situation and a “natural” one.

And now I know I am not alone there, because that is one of the most frequent questions I get asked all the time.

When I am trying to “force” an event, an action, a response to something that suddenly appears in my path.  I have learnt to “measure” my direction depending on the “roughness” of the road.  That is, when you are finding too many “rocks” on your path, that could be a signal that you are transiting the wrong road. A little experience…

He was screaming and throwing things around him in the middle for the pavement. People avoid the site where he was standing and preferred to cross the street so they hadn´t to pass near him.

I saw him from a distance, I could see he was very angry and he was yelling things I couldn’t understand.  As I approached the place he was standing at, a lady was running away from him while he shouted: “I don´t know why I am doing this to myself, if I know I am hurting myself” and then kicked a plastic bucket near him.

Instead of crossing the street to the other side in order to avoid this man, I kept walking normally. I have no idea why, since he was very aggressive and throwing everything he could find. Continue reading

Your worth

She saw me walking on the street and greeted me very effusively. “I wanted to so much to see you! I finally finished your book and I loved it! I am going to read it again!”

“But the problem is that I want to be able to do the things you talk about in the book, but I don’t think is as easy as it sounds” She complained.

I thanked her for reading one of my books and just told her: “I never said it was easy, nothing in that book is really easy. It is a process, everything worth it takes time. I am just sharing in my books my experiences and own ideas, but my main purpose is to encourage my readers to find their own answers and methods. We are all different and have different circumstances going on in our lives, but we are all in the same boat, so we can find common mind-sets and procedures to have a happy journey.” Was my reply. Creating good

Watching or reading the news lately has become a difficult task for the content is worst every time.  I was asking some friends who work in big news agencies if the world is getting more aggressive or the news are focusing more on the bad notes and I was not very surprised to know that the answer is the second option.

“The world has always had bad news, tragedies, wars, accidents and so on.  But nowadays the new technologies and social networks are helping to carry the news faster around the planet and they have even forced the media to focus their attention into the most sensationalist notes. Red note is what sells the most. Continue reading

Read now, before is too late!

I was in shock! I was writing my article this morning when suddenly this Lady appeared and asked Don Carlos Hernández (the man in charge of a place in where people go to listen to music and study), if she could donate her books to that place, since her children no longer wanted to read. “All they do is to turn on their computers and other electronic devices, and never talk to us or read a book any more”, she said.

I know that we can find now all the information there is on internet, I am online every day, I was there when internet was born and I love technology, but I must admit that I prefer to study a complex subject on paper and enjoy reading a novel in an good old book. Continue reading
