Your Light

There are days when you just cannot find the Light in your life and everything looks so dark and sinister.

With all the bad news inundating the Internet and the public media, those tragic stories from family and friends who are always so eager to share them with us, even before asking how we are doing.  The strangers in the street who love to tell you their lives and recent tragedies to see if they can find a friendly ear, that allows them to discharge their bad energy accumulated in their soul for so long. All that added to your own personal emotional baggage!

There are days, when you have to decide creating your own Light in the middle of a lot of induced darkness. Continue reading

Are you collapsing?

Sometimes we feel things in our emotional bag are getting too heavy to carry around and then our inner strength fails and we end up falling down to the ground.

Besides the pain and numbness this fall causes in our heart, we finally decide to get up again, but sometimes even when we are back in our feet once more we feel our soul is shattered and we cannot put our pieces back together.

Being in this zone is something we all as humans have to experience many times in our life in order to learn and master our journey.  Yes, we all have been there and we will come back many times. What changes and shows your mastery is how long do you spend in that state. Continue reading

Doors

I am not a very social person. It is not that I do not love to meet new people, on the contrary, I love to meet new people but what I do not like is big crowds.

I like to focus on a small group of people so we can get to know each other well and I can give these new friends proper attention.  But when you have to meet many people at the same time is when I usually exit the stage left.

Do not get me wrong, I am not really antisocial, (well, not very much.) But I believe every person I meet is like a new window that allows you to see new scenery, new thoughts, new experiences and so on. Continue reading

NO

Just two letters, one word. Simple, small and so frightening for so many.

Avoiding the use this little word has brought more problems, misunderstandings, sadness and regrets than you can imagine.

Maybe we feel guilty when we say it? Maybe we feel we are being rude to the other person? Maybe we feel obliged to avoid it? Who knows but despite its size and simplicity, it is one of the hardest words to say for many people around the world.

Maybe we were educated to see that little word as “harsh”? Are we afraid to offend the other party? Disappoint them? Continue reading

I won’t fail this time either.

“Yes, I have made a lot of mistakes, I have taken very bad decisions and I am still trying to figure out how to set things right in many aspects of my life, but I don’t think I have failed. I did everything I could in the way I thought it was right, I tried my best to do the things in the only way I knew and yes, I know, I have harmed people I love at times, I have even harmed people I don’t know directly but all I can say is that I didn’t do anything on purpose. I never meant to do anything wrong to anyone in anyway.” I told my friend while we walked in the park. Continue reading

Do it now

Few years ago he began typing his thoughts in his laptop where he kept them hidden from the world.  He was just trying to put his ideas in order and writing was a wonderful way to put some order in his chaotic mind.

Besides he didn’t need to watch his “style” or “spelling”, he was writing to himself. So that would give him even more freedom to write his thoughts without the fear to be judged or not liked. Continue reading

Egoism

I have heard a lot about being egoist lately. Some say it is the worst thing you can be if you want to advance in your spiritual life and others say that being egoist is an act of self-preservation.

I believe that, as usual, this is a problem of definition.  What some people define as egoism in others, could be defined as self appreciation when applied to themselves. Continue reading

The Real Truth

Get the real formula for success, this is the true religion, this is the real thing, we’ll get you the only true medicine, this is the real story, do you promise to tell nothing but the truth?

Truth is such a “commercial” term nowadays.  It is used, changed, hid, transformed, translated and interpreted in so many different ways that it is so difficult to know the difference. Continue reading
