Exhausted

In the last few years, I have seen among friends and colleagues a tendency (yes, me included of course), to feel that if you are not busy all the time, you are wasting your time.

This phenomenon is more common in big cities. We are getting used to be stressed all the time. And if you find yourself, in a certain moment, relaxed and calmed, then a feeling of guilt takes over your heart.

Nowadays, it seems unforgivable to be relaxed and happy, it is generally taken as an act of “laziness”, “idleness” or a” waste of your life”.

Bizarre

Have you notice how we tend to worry like crazy, have the blackest thoughts, imagine the worst scenarios, overstress our body and lose sleep and hunger like crazy?

And after all that, things work out in bizarre ways in the end.

We feel so relieved after the things were not as bad as we imagined that we forget to look back and see all those nasty details that robbed us from our health and peace of mind.

So when next test arrives, will you once again go through the same process of worrying, losing sleep and appetite and damage our body as much as we can.

When are you going to learn that life has uncommon ways to fix things? When are you going to learn that you are more than capable to handle the things that are in front of you right now? Otherwise, they wouldn’t be there. Continue reading

 Wonderland

Last night I had a very bizarre dream. It was one of those dreams you try to escape from during the night but even if you keep waking up your mind sends you back as soon as you go back to sleep.

In the dream I was at home, but when I wanted to enter into my bedroom, I found the door closed. When I opened it I stepped into a different room, somewhere else, in this room there were different people I have never seen before.  Most of them looked very worried, like searching for the way out.

Some languages I was able to understand, other I have never heard before, but all of them were desperate trying to find the way out. Continue reading

The dark night

When people want to refer to an ugly period of their lives or a negative aspect of their personality, they usually call it “the dark night of my heart or of my soul”.

We tend to use dark and night together as negative words to define a horrible period or event, contrary to the words “brilliant” and “Light”. But after all, the night is not that bad.

The night is the period of time when we usually rest and heal our body. Recent studies show that while we sleep, our brain cleans and heals itself and despite of that, it keeps making decisions and is as active as in our awake hours. Continue reading
