Be Resilient

While talking to a friend yesterday we were commenting about a friend who used to be a very solid and strong man most of his life, but the day his wife passed away, he began to lose his strength and wish to go on living.

It is always hard to lose a loved one, specially a very close person. And once we fall, getting on our feet once more is a daunting task for most of us.

After a lost, a failure, an accident, etc., things get very difficult and recovering our inner strength and peace seems almost impossible. And although time heals almost all wounds, there is always some things we can do to speed up our recovery. Continue reading

Strength

There are days when it takes more strength to get up from bed than others.

They say that when something scares you a little is a good sign for you to go on and do it, but in this world of bad news, excess of stress, lack of natural food and an overextended pessimism makes us very difficult to gather that strength.

That makes us search for something even more difficult to find nowadays: Those people who challenge you to be better, motivate you and impulse you to act.

Most people are just too overwhelmed with all the negative information we receive from everywhere. So, they do not have time to feel better themselves and let alone spreading motivational words around them. Continue reading

Go out and help

I had no idea how to repair a scratch on the paint of a metallic surface and I was going mad trying to find some video online that showed me how to do it.

I tried some suggestions but they were not what I needed. There are not many answers online for my particular problem.

So, I was about to quit and accept to live with that scratch when, while walking in a busy street, I saw an old man creating real masterpieces on metallic plates with his fingers and a few other handmade tools.

I stood there for a few minutes contemplating in awe the ability of that man and the wonderful paintings he was creating in a few minutes, right before an admired crowd.

After a while, he began to pick up his belongings and his unsold paintings, so I decided to approach him and ask for his advice on how to solve my problem. Continue reading

Stop it! You don’t have to be strong all the time

Taken from my book: Answers

“Just keep going”, “You have to be strong”, “Keep your head up”, “Don’t be afraid”, “Don’t worry, be happy” and many other expressions are said very lightly by everyone when the problem is on someone else’s shoulders.

But when they have to deal with difficult times the same people who told you that in the past, get mad at you when you use the same cliches on them.

Just remember we are all humans and it is unnatural not to get worried, angry, sad, and anxious, etc. The real master is not the one who is all the time in control of his/her emotions and feelings, but the one who allows them to flow through his/her system and returns to his/her ideal frequency at a natural pace. A hard soul to grasp

One of the most difficult things I have faced, is when I have tried to apply my own theory in my own life.

We think we are so “prepared” and “wise”, that we can give counsel to everyone who come and tell us their problems.  But if we are the ones in that situation, applying the same “advices” to our own particular case, it is not as easy to follow as when we tell others what to do with their lives to reach happiness and success.

But what if you pretend for a while that you are an external “adviser” when you are in trouble or in doubt? What would you tell somebody else? Would you follow that advice? Can you “walk your talk”? Continue reading

Incidents

A typical question I am asked all the time is if you could avoid bad things to happen to you and your loved ones through visualisation.

We can alter our results, our own perception of reality, our bad habits and ideas and create all the good things we need in our life.  But we are not living alone in this plane.  We are not the only creators of this universe.  Continue reading
