Imperfect

A good friend of mine was born with a strange condition that affected his body. He was very tall and his head and hands were bigger in proportion to the rest of his body.

He had suffered very much during his childhood because the other children mocked him and called him names that hurt his soul deeply.

He had to get used to the way people stared at him on the street and to the impertinent questions of those with no manners whatsoever, who never touched their hearts before making harsh remarks about his looks.

Anyway, he has got a wonderful personality.  He is very kind and compassionate with every living being.  He pursued a career in acting and due to his image, he got important roles in international movies. Continue reading

Solidarity

We can find different opinions about strikes and social movements nowadays.

One day you are driving trying to avoid the usual and terrible transit typical of big cities when suddenly you take a turn and find a street blocked by a group of workers who are demanding a solution to their problems.  Then you are forced to change your route and so is everyone else on the street, therefore the transit issues are immediately amplified altering our activities in more ways than one. I was reading a forum where writers share their experiences, doubts and advices with other writers and, I was surprised to find out that one of the most asked questions was: Who do you all have in your life that supports your passion for writing?

Carrying the weight

We as humans have the power to reason and control our thoughts, but do we really use this privilege in the right way?

Have you notice how we sometimes fall in love with our own suffering?

When we have a problem or we are facing a difficult situation, instead of getting over it and put it behind us, we take the event and keep replaying  it in our mind reliving it too many times and sometimes even making the details more dramatic or making us more upset by repeating it in our conversations, thoughts and even dreams.
